Position Title Senior Lecturer (Professional Selling and Sales Management)

The Senior Lecturer position is a full-time, non-tenure track, nine-month appointment, with additional expectations to teach and/or provide service during summer terms. The position is primarily a teaching and service appointment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, teaching courses that are integral to the Department of Marketing's sales concentration, such as Sales Management, Professional Selling, and Directed Studies in Professional Selling at the undergraduate level; managing the sales internship program; and preparing students for sales competitions, such as the International Collegiate Sales Competition among others. The typical teaching load is 4/4, with the internship class counting as one of the courses during regular and summer terms.

The selected candidate will be associated with the Center for Professional Sales and will be considered for the position of the Assistant Director of the Center when the position becomes vacant in the following academic year. Thus, the candidate is expected to extend support to the functioning and ongoing activities of the Center and work closely with the current Assistant Director of the Center.

The Center for Professional Sales is currently served by five faculty, who teach and conduct research in personal selling and sales management. The Center was designed to enhance the Department of Marketing's sales concentration, which has a robust student enrollment. Required Qualifications

Graduate or doctoral degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field from an AACSB accredited business school.

Significant and recent work experience in sales (industry experience or university teaching experience).

Evidence of sustained professional engagement with sales practitioners in organizations across different industries.

Experience with mentoring and/or coaching (industry experience or university experience).

Experience with leading or managing a professional work unit or organization.

Interest in teaching undergraduate sales courses.

Preferred Qualifications

University-level teaching experience.

Documentation of teaching performance and/or ratings of instruction.

Experience in curriculum development, including embedding technology into sales classes.

Ability to effectively interact with corporate executives in multiple industry sectors

Ability and enthusiasm to manage timely delivery of information to internal and external constituencies
