    About the role:

    The Faculty of Business and Law takes an innovative approach to education, working closely with national and international businesses to offer contemporary, professionally accredited and employment focussed undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Continued growth allows us to offer additional faculty positions in our School of Economics, Finance and Law. You will have the opportunity to contribute to our on-campus, online, corporate and international work.

    Through the position advertised, we are seeking to build on our existing strengths by appointing three new members of academic staff at lecturer/senior lecturer level who will, among other things, support the development of research within our subject group of Supply Chain Management. The central purpose of these roles is to undertake teaching, research and other academic activities within our faculty in the area of Supply Chain Management.

    We are seeking academics with a passion for teaching and an enthusiastic approach for research. We are also looking for academics who enjoy supporting students and working collaboratively with their colleagues. The appointee would also be expected to contribute to the teaching of Operations Management courses on our undergraduate and post graduate courses delivered to students across the Faculty of Business and Law as well as the supervision of PhD students. In addition, the appointed person would be expected to carry out administrative tasks and student pastoral care commensurate with an academic position.

    You'll have a degree plus PhD or Professional Doctorate as well as successful teaching experience at Higher Education level and/or relevant commercial, and/or professional experience. You'll the ability and willingness to develop personal research/consultancy profile. The ability to meet deadlines sometimes under pressure and excellent written and oral communications skills is essential for this role.
