Job description

It is an exciting time to join the School of Psychology at Keele University. We recently climbed into the Global Top 150 in the 2021 Times Higher Education World University Rankings.     This post represents an exciting opportunity for a Senior Lecturer in Psychology with proven experience of academic leadership and administration to strengthen our position as a School dedicated to research and teaching excellence.

    The successful candidate will hold a PhD in Psychology (or Cognate area), will have a clear plan for developing their programme of research or scholarship, evidenced by successful independent activity including publications in peer-reviewed journals and potential for securing external funding.

    The School of Psychology works within a framework of open science and it is expected that the successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to these principles. Researchers within the School of Psychology are well supported with excellent facilities (https: // www.

    In addition to pursuing excellence in research, the successful candidate will also be expected to act as Deputy for the Head of School, contribute to teaching on our Undergraduate (accredited by the British Psychological Society) and Postgraduate courses. The successful candidate will be supported to undertake a PGDip in Higher Education Practice to obtain Fellowship of the

    Higher Education Academy (unless candidate holds an equivalent qualification).
