Senior Lecturer in Initial Teacher Education - Art & Design

£42,149 rising annually to £51,799 pro rata Part Time, Fixed Term - Academic

This is a 0.4 fte contract for 2 years.

We are looking for an inspirational and talented colleague to join the team at the Oxford Brookes School of Education. We are seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Initial Teacher Education – Art & Design, who is able to teach Art & Design modules in Primary Education and related subjects.

As a Senior Lecturer, you will teach across undergraduate and postgraduate modules and contribute to the development and sustainability of the School of Education's programme portfolio. You will be able and willing to apply your expertise across a range of education settings and module lead on a variety of topics, in particular with respect to Primary School Education. You will understand what it means to deliver an outstanding learning experience to students, with experience commensurate with the post and be confident operating in virtual and blended learning environments. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is required for this post.

The School of Education is seeking to grow its education research profile and a suitable candidate should plan to engage in research during their time with us. An ideal candidate should plan to work towards contributing to future Research Excellence Framework submissions.

All interviews will be held online. Candidates are usually appointed at the bottom of the salary range with a step pay increase until they reach the top of the salary scale.
