With a focussed civic mission, we are committed to working with others through education, research and knowledge exchange to enhance the economic, cultural and social wellbeing of the communities in which we work and live.

    About the Role:

The Faculty of Health, Education, Medicine & Social Care is the largest faculty in the university. Our Faculty constantly pursues innovative approaches to develop and deliver curricula to meet the ever-changing educational needs of the Health and Social Care workforce. The Faculty of Health, Education, Medicine and Social Care offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including doctoral level studies. Our provision at Chelmsford includes a three-year BSc Adult/BSc Child or BSc Mental Health and now our newly started four-year dual award courses BSc Child and Mental Health Nursing & BSc Adult and Mental Health Nursing. More recently we have expanded our portfolio to encompass Higher Apprentice Assistant Practitioners, Nursing Associates (Apprenticeships and Direct Entry) and Degree Nursing Apprenticeships. Our dynamic approach ensures that our students receive a high quality, research-informed, educational experience, and a sound knowledge of the concepts is essential.

We are now recruiting a Senior Lecturer to join our Nursing Associate team at our Chelmsford campus, to support our growing Nursing Associate course. This post will include teaching and support of both apprentices and full-time students, as well as contributing to the teaching for a range of other health care professionals.

With a Master's degree plus extensive CPD, you'll be NMC Registered Nurse (Any branch); you'll have extensive experience of working in the UK nursing setting and understand the role of the Nursing Associate. You will be expected to contribute to curriculum development and work co-operatively and as part of a team. With an enthusiastic and flexible approach and good interpersonal and negotiating skills, you'll demonstrate commitment to our values with a willingness to contribute to the collective life of the Faculty.
