  • About the position

    La Trobe University offers an established undergraduate (Bachelor of Speech Pathology (Honours)) courses delivered through the La Trobe Rural Health School, on the Bendigo campus. The La Trobe Rural Health School (LRHS) is the largest rural health school in Australia. The successful applicant will coordinate and teach subjects and courses providing a high quality learning experience that engages undergraduate, honours and postgraduate students. The successful candidate will assure the delivery of the Speech Pathology program is conducted in accordance with University policy and accreditation requirements, whilie leading and promoting the speech pathology profession within the University and on national stages.

    Skills and Experience

    To be considered for this position, you will have;

  • Completion of a PhD or equivalent accreditation and standing recognised by the University/profession as appropriate for the relevant discipline areas.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness and leadership in curriculum development and teaching with a proven commitment to excellence in teaching.
  • Record of attracting honours/research students and successful supervision.
  • Evidence of effective contributions to leadership and management at the Department, School or University level, including management and mentoring staff.
  • Distinguished record of nationally and/or internationally recognised work as a speech pathologist or independent researcher, with evidence of its impact and significance.
