About the position
This position presents an exciting opportunity to be part of a School that has an outstanding reputation for teaching and research excellence, for research translation and for building strong relationships with industry partners.
The successful candidate will lead the Sport Management curriculum development initiatives and will develop and deliver high quality educational offerings at both the undergraduate and postgraduate level Fostering excellence in teaching and learning and assuring the quality of the academic programs within the School are key requirements of this role. The successful candidate will also undertake impactful research, publish in ABDC A and A/top 10% Q1 journals, generate external research income and facilitate links between the School and industry. Developing and nurturing effective and productive relationships between the School, the University and industry is an important requirement of this role. You will also be expected to work with the Professoriate and other colleagues in developing deeper engagement with industry and the university and promote high quality research outcomes.
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will have an excellent record in curriculum development teaching at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. A sustained, strong track record of publishing in high quality journals (specifically, ABDC A and A/top 10% Q1 journals) and an ability to attract external research funding is also critical to this role. The successful candidate will possess excellent academic administration skills and the proven ability to develop and mentor junior Faculty. Strong industry engagement skills will also be highly regarded. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collegially are also key requirements of this role.
