About This Opportunity
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced academic to join the University
of Queensland in the role Of Senior Lecturer / Associate Professor –
Mechatronics within the School of Information Technology and Electrical
As a Senior Lecturer (Academic Level C), you will focus your efforts on
leveraging your established record of achievement in teaching ((including
clinical teaching, where appropriate), research and service and engagement.
At this level the incumbent may coordinate or lead the activities of other
staff and is expected to have an active and effective record of supervising
Higher Degree by Research students successfully to completion as principal
As an Associate Professor (Academic Level D), you will consistently
demonstrate excellence in teaching (including clinical teaching, where
appropriate), research and service and engagement. At this level, the
incumbent expected to undertake leadership roles and have a strong record of

Our Ideal Candidate
In addition to the completion of a PhD in a relevant discipline area, the
successful appointee must have:
Academic Level C:
An established profile in teaching and research in the areas of
mechatronics, robotics, automation, or control.
National recognition in the area of expertise, with an international
developing profile and an established record of publications in reputed
refereed journal and presenting at conferences
Evidence of a high level of quality teaching at undergraduate, honours and
postgraduate level across a variety of settings, including small and large
A strong track record of course coordination and participation in the
development and continuous innovation of new programs, curriculum design
and course material in the discipline area.
In addition to the above, a level D academic will demonstrate:
International recognition in the area of expertise and an excellenet
record of publications in reputed refereed journal and presenting at

What We Can Offer
This is a full-time, continuing position at Academic level C or D:
The full-time equivalent base salary at Level C will be in the range
$121,939 - $140,603, plus super of up to 17%. The total package will be in the
range $142,668 - $164,505.
The full-time equivalent base salary at Level D will be in the range
$146,824 - $161,756, plus super of up to 17%. The total package will be in the
range $171,784 - $189,254.
