KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER OFFICE
The Knowledge Transfer Office (KTO) serves as the bridge between the University and the community for the transfer of knowledge, technology, expertise, skills and capabilities in campus-wide disciplines. We actively protect and commercialise intellectual property rights (IPR) developed at the University. KTO is responsible for supporting technology transfer projects such as IPR promotion and protection, and commercialisation and entrepreneurship; running the Business Entrepreneurship Support and Training (BEST) programme; supporting knowledge transfer activities undertaken by Faculties and Departments; conducting studies and investigations to measure the impacts of our various workshops, public lectures and seminars; and supporting the entrepreneurship ecosystem at HKBU. The Office now invites applications for the position below:
Senior Knowledge Transfer Officer (PR0287/22-23)
The appointee is expected to take charge of the entrepreneurship projects management and online curriculum support to the Office's Online 2 Offline Entrepreneurship project and entrepreneurship activities, main duties include:
• Lead and supervise a team on entrepreneurship at HKBU - the BEST programme and all associated entrepreneurship programme (i.e. TSSSU, YEC etc.); • Assist the Head of KTO in planning, developing and managing entrepreneurship projects and activities; • Liaise with internal and external bodies - students, staff and community; • Handle confidential files and correspondences; • Prepare communications collaterals; • Launch and promote entrepreneurship platform; • Manage the O2O portal; and • Perform other duties as assigned.
• A recognised degree with at least ten years of relevant work experience in entrepreneurship development; • An excellent command of English and Chinese (including Putonghua); • Good hands-on computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Offices and Chinese Word Processing); • Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills; • Competency in project and event management, marketing, and statistical reporting; • Experience in online curriculum development would be advantageous; and • Be highly motivated, meticulous and able to work independently and in a team, and calmly under pressure.
The initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to performance review, mutual agreement and availability of funding.
Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
