Senior Human Resources and Organisational Development Adviser (Reward)

Human Resources & Org Development Professional & Business Support Grade 7 - £36,386 - £40,931 per annum, dependent on experience

Sheffield Hallam is one of the UK's largest, most dynamic universities. Located at the heart of a great city and with an ambitious strategic plan we are well-placed to make a genuinely distinctive contribution to the world.

Our mission is simple: we transform lives; shaping futures through outstanding teaching and learning and by providing practical solutions to real world problems.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior HROD Advisor (Reward) to join the Human Resources & Organisational Development (HROD) Directorate. You'll join a team responsible for the delivery of high-performing people services in support of the University's operational priorities and strategic aims.

You will be responsible for providing specialist advice on a range of complex reward issues. Significant experience of a range of reward and recognition mechanisms is therefore essential, including job evaluation methodologies, grading structures, managing annual pay review cycles, benchmarking analysis and benefit programmes.

You should also demonstrate a commitment to customer service excellence, delivering a consistent and professional service, whilst maintaining compliance within regulatory and procedural frameworks.

This role sits as part of the resourcing and reward team and the focus of the role will be to provide expertise within the area of reward and recognition. However, in the future, the role does provide the opportunity to work across both areas of the team i.e. recruitment and reward.

We offer a diverse range of benefits and opportunities to pursue a rewarding and fulfilling career in a supportive environment.

As well as 25 days annual leave and the eight standard UK bank holidays, you also get up to six extra days each year for extended University closure around some UK public holidays.

This is a hybrid role, enabling you to work both remotely and on-site, depending on job role requirements.

For this job, we particularly welcome applications from minority ethnic applicants who are underrepresented within this area at Sheffield Hallam.

We also welcome applications for job-share arrangements on a fractional basis, as part of a job share totalling 1.0 FTE.
