The Operations Group within Warwick Business School is now recruiting for Graduate Teaching Assistants on a number of modules for the academic year 2021-2022 Teaching for 2021-2022 will be a blend of face to face and on-line depending on restrictions . As a result , you must be present in the UK when completing GTA work

These roles may include some or all of the following elements , in class support ( live &remote ) ,seminar delivery , marking and student engagement .Please be advised that previous experience or specialised knowledge may be required in some cases for individual modules listed below

- IB1490 ,Introduction to Statistics , 7-10 GTA positions - IB1220 ,Business Statistics , 8-10 GTA positions - IB3200 ,Simulation this requires an understanding of DES and the ability to use Simul8 software , 2 GTA positions - IB3490 / IB4080 , Operational Research for Strategic Planning , 1-2 GTA positions - IB3K20 , Financial Optimisation , 1 GTA position - IB98E0 , Forecasting , 1 GTA position - IB98D0 , Advanced Data Analytics , 1 GTA position - IB9BW0 , Analytics in Practise , 1-2 GTA positions - IB9DY0 , Multivariate Statistics , 1 GTA position - IB9HP0 , Data Management , 1 GTA position - IB9V60 , Discrete Event Simulation this requires an understanding of DES and the ability to use Simul8 software , 1 GTA position

The number of posts available will be dependent on student recruitment to programmes and the availability of individual Graduate Teaching Assistants If you have not taught previously at the University of Warwick you may be invited to attend an interview and deliver a five minute presentation as part of the selection process.

Job Description


Undertake teaching tasks within a class, seminar, workshop , lab and tutorial or equivalent context in order to progress the student learning experience.


Research and Scholarship

Reflect on practice and the development of own teaching and learning skills

Teaching and Learning Support

Teach tasks within a class, seminar, tutorial or equivalent context, in support of teaching for which members of the academic staff have primary responsibility, within an established programme of study. Teach using a variety of teaching methods in the classroom within a syllabus as devised by academic staff Develop own teaching methods and approaches Develop supplementary teaching materials with appropriate guidance and support where required. Ensure the content, methods of delivery and learning materials meet the defined learning objectives Supervise the work of students where required by the department, providing advice on study and learning Apply appropriate assessment methods and criteria, asses the work and progress of students undertake formal assessment of students which could include marking work applying academic judgment and integrity and knowledge of the area Provide constructive oral and written feedback to students, possibly in one- to-one settings. Assist with marking requests ( group and or individual ) as needed

Administration and Other Activities

Monitor and co-ordinate student questions and engagement as part of the teaching task Undertake duties related to course administration, including but not limited to maintaining attendance records

Masters degree or equivalent (in a relevant area) (a)
