Senior Finance Manager/ Finance Manager in the Finance and Enterprises Office (Ref.: 522813) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, with the possibility of renewal)

Requirements:

  • a recognized degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, and a professional accounting qualification;
  • with at least 10 years' relevant work experience, of which at least 5 years should be post-qualification experience at managerial level in accounting and/or quality management;
  • exposure in construction/capital project field would be an advantage;
  • a good command of English and Chinese;
  • proficiency in PC and accounting software applications such as Oracle Financials, Microsoft Dynamics and QlikView, or other business intelligent systems;
  • strong communication and analytical skills;
  • the ability to work independently; and
  • knowledge of Putonghua would be an advantage.

    • Applicants with less experience/ lower qualifications may be considered for appointment as Assistant Finance Manager, as appropriate. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test.

    Responsibilities:

    The appointee's duties include, but not limited to:

  • controlling and monitoring capital expenditures;
  • preparing budgets, forecasts, capital financial plans and variance analysis reports;
  • assisting in the management of premises-related costs covering staff quarters, off-campus spaces and utilities;
  • participating in resource planning and staff management; and
  • recommending and implementing process improvement on operating procedures of the daily operation.
