  • About This Opportunity

    The primary purpose of this position is to provide a high level of administrative and executive support to the Office of the Vice President, Advancement and Community Engagement (VPACE) inclusive of The Queensland Commitment Program Office.

    The Executive Services Unit (ESU) is hosted within the Office of the VPACE. You will join a high performing team with a supportive culture and a strong commitment to excellence and service. In a role that is an integral part of the Executive Services Unit, you will work to enable the success of the portfolios and ACE team members, across a broad range of functions, through seamless and professional executive and operational support services.

    Key responsibilities will include:

  • Executive Assistance : Provide proactive support to senior executives, including calendaring, travel coordination, and correspondence preparation.

  • Meeting Coordination and Support : Handle committee meetings, including scheduling, documentation, and liaison with partners.

  • Project Support: Coordinating and contributing to projects within the portfolio.

  • Administrative Support : Manage day-to-day office operations and other duties as needed.

  • About You
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with a proven ability to prioritise and demonstrate flexibility to meet frequent deadlines.

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills, including the ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues and partners at all levels.

  • The ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion, diplomacy and judgment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, and proven ability to proactively contribute to the operational efficiency of an organisational unit.

  • A demonstrated commitment to fostering a strong team culture and a demonstrated capacity and desire to learn and grow.

  • A degree with subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience and specialist expertise or broad knowledge in administration, business or executive support in a large and/or complex organisational context; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.

  • Knowledge of administrative procedures, organisational structures and functions of the University of Queensland, or the ability to rapidly acquire this.

  • Experience relating to fundraising, and alumni and community engagement.
