Senior Executive Assistant/ Executive Assistant (at the rank of Clerk I/II) in the Hong Kong Institute for the Humanities and Social Sciences (Ref.:523782) (to commence as soon as possible on two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance or Human Resources Management with at least 1 year's work experience. Those with 5 passes including English (min. Grade C if Syllabus A/Level 2 from 2007), Chinese (Level 2 from 2007) and Mathematics in HKCEE, or min. Level 2 or equivalent in 5 subjects in HKDSEE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics, with substantial experience and a track record of administrative experience in tertiary institutions may also be considered. Applicants should be detail-oriented, self-motivated, responsible and able to work independently, with good command of English and Chinese. Experience and/or interest in accounting, procurement, cashflow management and reporting would be advantageous.
The appointee will handle various executive tasks including processing payment vouchers and purchase orders; assist in the financial administration of research projects, and preparing annual financial reports. He/She will also be responsible for providing support to appointees/visitors from oversees on visa application, transportation and short-term accommodation upon arrival; and perform other duties as assigned. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment on fixed terms will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
