Senior Executive Assistant (at the rank of Clerk I) in the Communications and Public Affairs Office of the Registry (Ref.: 523775) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)

The Communications and Public Affairs Office (CPAO) of the Registry of the University of Hong Kong (HKU) enhances HKU's reputation through branding, events, digital communications, media relations, and more. The office is also responsible for University events and ceremonies, publications, both external and internal communications, crisis management and community engagement. CPAO is currently elevating and expanding its scope of services. We are looking for talented candidates to join the team.

The key responsibilities of the Senior Executive Assistant are to:

  • provide administrative and clerical support to the Office in various areas, including finance, human resources, event coordination and general office administration;
  • provide secretarial support for meetings and appointments, logistic support for events, and manage communication, correspondences and documentation;
  • manage all day-to-day personnel administration and liaise regularly with a range of central administrative offices and academic departments of the University; and
  • perform any other duties as assigned.
  • Requirements:

  • a recognized University's degree or Diploma, preferably with three years' relevant work experience in office administration within the education sector;
  • attentive to details, self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility and ethics;
  • able to work independently as well as in a team and multi-task; and
  • a good command of English and Chinese, IT proficiency and effective interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.

    Compensation and Benefits:

    A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
