    The Opportunity

    Turning Point within the Eastern Health Clinical School is seeking to appoint a Senior Data Analyst to provide high-level expertise and analytical services to support the strategic needs of stakeholders and researchers in Turning Point's National Addiction and Mental Health Surveillance Unit (NAMHSU). This position will be responsible for identifying, documenting and validating the unit's research needs by undertaking quantitative data analysis and modelling to provide expert advice, reports and guidance on new initiatives and strategic projects.

    Some of the duties will include:

  • Undertaking research, consultation, reviews, modelling, forecasting, business case development, quantitative and qualitative analysis and benchmarking to provide advice and support to research decision-making
  • Developing specialised reports, correspondence, recommendations, presentations and advice on highly complex issues for a variety of audiences, including external stakeholders and funding bodies.
  • Implementing and delivering significant strategic research and data projects, develop and implement frameworks, methodologies, standards and reporting processes including those relating to compliance and quality assurance
  • This position is suited to a highly motivated individual who holds a postgraduate qualification or progresses towards postgraduate qualifications and has extensive experience in mathematics, statistics, computer science or a relevant field; and/or extensive experience. Additionally, the successful candidate will also possess a broad technical skillset, demonstrate high-level conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills, and quickly adapt to and learn new systems.
