About the Role
This newly created role within the Student Experience team will see you draw on your expertise in people leadership and events management to provide high- level support for the planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of student events at the College of Business and Law.
As a Senior Coordinator, you will work collaboratively with Marketing and Strategy, International, Schools and Industry teams to design events that drive participation, engagement and belonging, thus enhancing the student experience. This will involve leveraging the use of technology and social media marketing campaigns to support the delivery of both strategic and operational large-scale events such as Open Day and Orientation.
You will bring a modern and forward-thinking approach to identifying new ways of working collaboratively with internal stakeholders across the University and will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You will work closely with the Manager, Student Experience and will lead a team of four staff members.
To be successful in this position, you'll have as a minimum:
Excellent relationship building and negotiation skills, with the ability to work collegiately with academic and professional staff, students and external clients from diverse backgrounds.
Demonstrated high-level of emotional intelligence with proven well- developed leadership and team-building skills and experience coaching and aligning teams to achieve high performance outcomes.
Extensive experience in developing and executing successful major events, spanning both physical and virtual platforms.
Proven initiative and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently to quickly extract the priority issues and take action without specific direction.
