  • About You

    The Senior Coordinator, Information Literacy provides critical leadership for Information Literacy Librarians working in the service delivery and adoption of integrated study support to enhance student's information literacy outcomes.

    The Senior Coordinator role leads the strategic and targeted delivery of specialised learning support designed to maximise access and inclusion. With a ‘digital first' model, we create digital learning resources that enable a truly global service. A priority for this position is ensuring staff have the digital capabilities and fluency for creating digital learning objects utilising systems and platforms that are fit for purpose.

    The Senior Coordinator will lead a culture capable of adapting and evolving to meet needs and expectations of the Library to define and develop digital pedagogical products that will add the greatest value to academic student learning. The Senior Coordinator, Information Literacy is also responsible for the systems and processes to embed and integrate the data analytics for collecting and using data to make evidence-based decisions and analytics to demonstrate value and impact for immediate and on-call reporting.

    This position works collaboratively with the Senior Coordinator, English, Academic Writing & STEM to deliver a comprehensive study support service across the Learning team.

    To be successful in this position, you'll have as a minimum:

  • Demonstrated experience and leadership capabilities to foster a strong team culture within a diverse environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership to implement a ‘Digital First ‘strategy in the educational support for student services, resources and spaces
  • Demonstrated workplace examples of implementing strategic and targeted service delivery designed to maximise access and inclusion
  • Demonstrated experience in systems and procedures to optimise service delivery both digitally and across sites in a tertiary setting
  • Demonstrated experience in agile methods of leadership to meet organisational needs and expectations in digital pedagogical products to add greatest value.
  • Demonstrated ability to build purposeful and reliable analytics in service delivery outcomes for senior audiences in a tertiary environment.
  • Demonstrated examples of evidence-based decisions and analytics to successfully demonstrate value and impact.

    At RMIT Melbourne, the University Library operates from 4 different locations: the Swanston Library; the Bundoora Library; the Carlton Library and Brunswick Library. At RMIT Vietnam, the Library supports the 6,000 students from 2 locations: Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. They provide flexible, networked spaces for individual and group study, computer equipped group study rooms and seminar rooms for academic and library research skills training.
