Job Description Summary:
The George Washington University Development and Alumni Relations (DAR) Division is seeking a Senior Constituent Records Coordinator.
DAR is responsible for leading the university's alumni and fundraising efforts and seeks to promote a culture of philanthropy throughout the university community, including alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff, corporations and foundations, patients and other friends. Our goal is to advance GWs mission of excellence in education, research, scholarship, and patient care.
The Senior Constituent Records Coordinator has primary responsibility for the loading of gift and biographical records information received in electronic form into the primary DAR database, Ellucian Advance.
This senior position reviews and processes gifts into the advancement database and the university's on-line giving platform and payment gateway, updates and maintains constituent biographical data in the system of record, and works to provide gift officers with high quality data. This position may provide guidance to other team members. This role participates in the maintenance and improving of automated services that deliver alumni and prospect data to the institution's development staff, in part by improving donor relations by ensuring proper handling and recording of gift and biographical data.
This position tracks cash flow and gift acknowledgments for current and prior campaigns, audits the institution's ledgers, and seeks authorization of necessary transfers. This role may have responsibility for improving the production and distribution of gift reports and the collection of gift data for institution funds, outside trust income, gifts-in-kind, etc., and may report pledge payments and work to improve collection methods.
The Senior Constituent Records Coordinator would obtain electronic files from internal sources and external vendors of information to update constituent records on Advance. Internal sources would include, but not limited to, files from the university's telemarketing system (Campus Call), the on-line community (Luminate), spreadsheets submitted by departments, and the DAR lockbox (Capital One). External sources could include various vendors of critical bio-demographic information such as names, addresses, telephone numbers, e-mail addresses and employment information.
Performs other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 1 year of relevant professional experience, or, a Master's degree or higher in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Typical Hiring Range $43,171.64 - $59,402.83
