  • About This Opportunity

    The University of Queensland is seeking a dynamic Senior Co-ordinator, Higher Degree Research (HDR) Partnerships to drive the development and management of key HDR partnerships. In this pivotal role, you will focus on building and enhancing international and industry cohorts, including joint PhD programs and collaborative supervision initiatives.

    You will establish strong working relationships across the Graduate School and collaborate with key UQ stakeholders, particularly in Global Engagement and Research Partnerships.     Key responsibilities will include:

  • Operationalise HDR partnership cohorts, including joint PhD programs and HDR industry internships.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with UQ stakeholders to effectively implement HDR partnered programs.
  • Develop and co-ordinate HDR resources, internal communications, and website materials.
  • Plan, co-ordinate, and manage project calls, applications, and procedures.
  • Monitor and report on cohort activities
  • Provide advice and support to HDR candidates and supervisors in research training programs.
  • Support the development of new initiatives and assist in managing HDR- related industry scholarships and PhD schemes.
  • This is a full-time, continuing position based at St Lucia.

    At HEW level 7, the full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $96,649- $105,244, plus a generous superannuation allowance of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be up to $113,080- $123,136 annually.

    As our positions are covered by an Enterprise Agreement, you will also receive regular remuneration increases in line with the Enterprise Agreement.

  • About You

  • A degree with at least four (4) years subsequent relevant experience (ideally HDR administration) or extensive experience and management expertise in administrative fields or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication, including presentation and business writing skills, and the ability to influence and negotiate.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work independently, prioritising competing tasks to meet deadlines with strong attention to detail.
  • High level computer literacy with experience using a wide range of computer applications in a network environment (particularly the Microsoft Office suite).
  • Experience in building highly effective professional relationships and working with diverse stakeholders across multiple countries and regions.
