The position of Senior Associate Director for Careers & Employability at King's College London is recruited on behalf of King's College London by The Careers Group, University of London. The Careers Group is the federation of careers services of several members of the University of London federation including King's, City, Goldsmiths and UCL.

This is a fixed term role until 31 October 2023 to cover the secondment of the current role holder to the position of Director of Student Success at King's College London. The appointee to this role will report to the Director of Student Success at King's, and to the Director of The Careers Group.

This role is open only to members of TCG member careers services, both University of London-employed and college-employed.

The role is offered as a secondment, which means that you will need to get the permission of your current line manager and your Head of Service should you wish to apply, as the expectation is that your current role would be held open for your return after the end of the secondment.

The post of Senior Associate Director for Careers & Employability is a high- paced, high pressure, demanding and complex role at King's College London. The post holder is accountable to two complex university ecosystems in Kings and the University of London with multiple stakeholders, as well as being highly visible in the external education and employment landscapes. They will need to demonstrate high quality leadership of a complex strategically-driven team employing staff on often contrasting terms and conditions, creating a cohesive community united around the common purpose of enabling students to achieve their career goals.

King's Careers & Employability is a large department of approximately 50 staff, comprised of three areas focused on careers education & curriculum partnerships, employer engagement & work-based learning, and student engagement & enhancement. It is responsible for work with all students and research staff, as well as supporting graduates for up to two years post- graduation. Each area is led by an Associate Director, who together form KC&E;'s senior leadership team, which the Senior Associate Director leads.
