Job Description

The Sr. IRB Analyst serves a portfolio of Charles River Campus departments and Investigators. The Analyst is responsible for advising Investigators on their submissions (including IRB applications and supporting materials), reviewing and analyzing those submissions for compliance with federal regulations, instituional policies, accepted ethical standards and best practices. The Analyst is responsible for reviewing all types of submissions (e.g. new, continuing, modifications, events, etc.) and all levels of review (e.g. exempt, expedited, full board) and serves as an alternate IRB member. This position is in regular communication (email, phone, zoom, occasionally in person) with investigators and their designated research staff, as well as IRB members and works closely with other IRB staff members and university offices as appropriate and applicable to the research. This position requires sound judgement, independent work, clear proactive and responsive communication.

Required Skills

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree CIP preferred 5-8 years of experience in human subjects research
  • Basic knowledge of both DHHS and FDA human subjects regulations
  • Skill requirements:

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
