The Faculty of Medicine is seeking a Senior Administrator to join the Faculty Operating Service. Based in the School of Primary Care, Population Sciences and Medical Education (PPM), the role will include the leadership and management of administrative staff based at Aldermoor Health Centre and Southampton General Hospital. You will make an important contribution supporting the Head of School and the academic community, as well as leading a team to deliver professional and efficient services including operational assistance and administrative support, event organisation, financial administration, organising and minuting meetings, and ordering resources. To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have the ability to build effective and credible working relationships and liaise confidently with senior colleagues
  • Be adaptable, flexible, proactive and a collaborative team leader, with strong interpersonal skills and a positive and enthusiastic approach.
  • Have excellent line management and organisational skills and the ability to effectively manage workload across a team to meet business requirements
  • Manage complex processes, analyse and interpret business information and support local governance committees
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and well as up-to-date MS Office skills
