Student And Academic Services Professional & Business Support Grade 5 - £24,285 to £27,929 (pro rata) per annum, dependent on experience

As a Senior Administrator (Registry) , you will work closely with other members of the Systems and Reporting team, bringing knowledge and specialist skills in the operation of the systems and processes to manage the University's student and curriculum data for internal and external business/statutory requirements, ensuring that the University is at the forefront of academic administration. The University's student and curriculum management system is the SITS: Vision systems , which you will use extensively in this role.

We anticipate that you will work in the student finance and funding area and be part of the team of staff supporting users of the SITS systems through the University's SITS service desk. We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with experience of

  • Student finance and funding including liasion with the Student Loans Company
  • Student and curriculum data reporting to statutory bodies such as HESA
  • Provision of system support services, for example to test new/upgraded software and support users.
  • Knowledge and experience of student and course life cycles
  • Experience of working effectively in an environment of complex regulations and procedures, especially those relating to higher education, would be an advantage (eg HESA requirements, SLC/SFE and OfS, data protection regulations, etc. ) For this role, you will need experience of using a large corporate information system with accuracy and precision. We also look for experience of interpreting statutory body requirements and ensuring compliance in records maintenance.
