Position Overview
This position is responsible for providing executive, administrative, and analytical support to a department head (Dean, Director, or AssistanUAssociate Vice President) and is responsible for a variety of complex decisions and administrative services including administration of a budget. This position interacts with offices including the President's, Vice President's and/or external constituencies while maintaining sensitivity to confidentiality and protocol. Coordinates activities and acts as university- wide liaison. Identifies issues or problems and researches solutions within specific management areas.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and five (5) years of highly responsible and varied office administration or business management experience; or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. • Advanced written communication skills. • Advanced Microsoft Office skills. • Knowledge of accounting/budgeting procedures. • Ability to work under pressure, to adjust to constant changes, to handle multiple tasks, and to coordinate the work of others. • Ability to keep complex records, to assemble and organize data of complex nature, and to prepare and submit reports in acceptable formats. • Ability to conceptualize, plan and organize multiple programs and assignments effectively. • Ability to work on complex and confidential tasks utilizing judgment, tact, and resourcefulness. • Skill in developing and maintaining good working relationships. • Knowledge of policies, practices, procedures and terminology of assigned function. • Supervisory skills.

Job Duties
o
Screens and routes incoming calls and correspondence and responds independently.
o
Greets visitors and serves as an initial point of contact for a variety of administrative tasks.
o
Provides administrative support on a variety of tasks which may include: data entry, recordkeeping, room scheduling, time entry, equipment quoting, calendar management, etc…
o
Procurement card purchasing and assist in inventory management/receiving
o
Identifies and recommends improvements for administrative procedures and/or makes evaluative judgments in implementing changes as appropriate to administrative procedures.
o
Other duties as assigned.
o
Assists in coordinating activities, general office ordering/bookkeeping, calendar management, technology quoting, inventory management.
o
Identifies issues or problems and may provide assistance in researching solutions.
