The UNT Dallas College of Law is a Fully-Approved ABA public law school in downtown Dallas with a full-time day division and a part-time evening division. The College of Law's goals are: (1) widening access to legal education for those who could be superb legal professionals but who cannot realistically access a legal education given factors including location, cost, and the current role of the LSAT in admission to and financing of law school; (2) providing an educational program focused on excellence in developing practice-related competencies, through a curriculum mapped to those competencies and using best instructional practices, including multiple formative and summative assessment throughout, engaged class design, and a spectrum of experiential education; (3) creating opportunity for our students by keeping tuition and debt low and producing graduates with high value and ability in multiple segments of the market for legal services; (4) becoming a national leader in advancing understanding of best legal education practices, of professional formation, and of the relationship between legal education and the evolving practice and business of law; (5) improving access to justice for underserved legal needs; and (6) serving as a valuable partner in civic engagement with the City of Dallas and the North Texas region.
Position Overview
The Faculty Support Group at UNT Dallas College of Law works closely with assigned Law School faculty members to provide high-level administrative and operational support. Duties include: Serve as training and troubleshooting resource for faculty members to ensure that their work is handled smoothly and efficiently. Coordinate and organize events, including faculty colloquia, workshops, symposia, conferences, and other events.Perform general administrative and clerical duties to support the teaching and research activities of the Law School faculty members. Help in the production of various publications by faculty members. Exercise judgment on how to best utilize computer applications and class equipment to help faculty members with their needs.

Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma/GED equivalent three (3) years of general office or clerical experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Basic MS Office skills. • Ability to problem-solve and make decisions. • Ability to effectively communicate. • Knowledge of policies, practices, procedures, and terminology of assigned function. • Skill in composing routine letters and preparing reports. • Skill in recording and compiling material for reports.

Job Duties
o
Provides administrative secretarial and clerical service to students, faculty, andstaff, such as schedules appointments, gives information to callers, providesoffice management and otherwise relieves officials of clerical work and minoradministrative and business detail.
o
Assists multiple faculty with business operations of the area. Answers questions,provides advice to faculty regarding university policies and procedures as well asrelevant policies, local, state and federal laws and regulations pertaining topurchasing and ordering, travel and reimbursement, account reconciliation, androom/resource access.
o
Assist faculty with communication to their students. May assist faculty withcorrespondence, editing of documents.
o
Assists faculty and department in using University procurement business practices including receiving quotes, appropriate means of purchasing supplies and equipment, and appropriate use of purchasing online vs. the eProcurement system. Periodically reviews encumbrances and Purchase orders to ensure payments have posted and encumbrances released for efficient use of funds.
o
Completes account reconciliation of monthly financial transactions in Concur to supporting documentation on faculty cost centers, identifies incorrect or missing charges and takes appropriate action. Notifies and updates faculty on a periodic basis regarding available funds in their cost centers.
o
Uses Excel spreadsheets, other MS Office suite of products, and University systems to manage budget and areas of responsibility.
o
Plan and execute events for faculty and their guests, as well as provide support for Area and School meetings and events. May include making posters, emails, travel and hotel arrangements, meal planning, scheduling of visits, itineraries, reimbursements, parking, Uber, providing maps, and communication with guests.
o
Understands and follows rules regarding principles of confidentiality relating to all office and student matters.
o
Follows appropriate safety procedures and security measures related to work performed.
o
Assists with Student and Faculty requests
