  • About the Position

    This position is a senior administrator who is responsible for planning and organising Learning and Teaching events and supporting student engagement initiatives, such as Belonging strategies. The role ensures a connected and collaborative approach to L&T events and engagement across the School of Media and Communication.

    The role is part of the wider Academic Services Team in the School and supports student lifecycle processes.

    The role has a strong collaborative and service culture orientation and operates within and across teams and in association with RMIT service groups.

    At times the Senior Academic Services Officer (L&T Events) may be required to work flexibly to ensure the smooth running of L&T events and engagement activities.

    To be successful in this position, you'll have:

  • Demonstrated experience in the organisation and delivery of events and/or projects.

  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to synthesize complex information in a timely and concise manner.

  • Demonstrated organisational and problem-solving skills, including a proven ability to meet tight timelines, manage multiple tasks and adjust workload priorities to meet conflicting deadlines.

  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and a proven ability to deliver exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to build strong, positive, respectful and inclusive working relationships.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively, flexibly and collaboratively with colleagues within and beyond the immediate work unit, positively contributing to the achievement of organisational goals.

  • Demonstrated adaptability and enthusiasm for contemporary ways of working and service delivery.

  • Demonstrated digital literacy, including the ability to adapt to new systems and utilise a variety of technologies in daily work practices.
