Secretary I/Secretary II in the Department of Surgery, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 520484) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, and with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree or above, with at least 7 years' relevant work experience in tertiary institution, preferably in a field related to medicine and education. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); good IT knowledge and competence in office applications including Chinese word processing; strong organizational, problem-solving and communication skills, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team. They should also be self-motivated, attentive to details, and be able to handle multi-tasks and produce quality outputs under pressure and tight deadlines. Those who have received formal secretarial training would be advantageous. Those with less experience may be considered for appointment as Secretary II.
The appointee will provide a high level of executive and secretarial support to senior professor and clinical staff, handle correspondences with complete independence, co-ordinate meetings and overseas trips, assist in postgraduate education, research and scholarships and event organization, and perform other duties as assigned. Shortlisted candidates may be invited to attend a written test.
