Agile working (blend of home and office based) would be considered.

This post represents an exciting opportunity to join a newly established team in Keele University's Vice-Chancellor's Office. The Secretariat is responsible for providing high-quality support to the University Senior Leadership Team and contribute to maintaining the strategic and operational functions of the University by ensuring that appropriate standards of corporate governance are upheld within the University.

The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues in the team and the senior management to ensure that;

  • A high-standard of secretarial support for governance and executive committees is maintained
  • Quality reports, presentations, correspondence, and papers are prepared for and with the senior management, in particular for the Vice-Chancellor, Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Provost and Chief Operating Officer.
  • Consistent regulatory and governance advice is provided to colleagues at all levels within the institution
  • The work of ‘task and finish' and ‘working groups' are progressed efficiently and effectively, and in line with university objectives.
  • The role holder will have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of colleagues across the institution on a broad range of topics affecting Higher Education.

    You will have experience in taking minutes and providing secretariat support, as well as experience of producing papers, presentations, or reports on behalf of senior management.
