The Department of Microbiology and Immunology is hiring a scientist track faculty member with competency in teaching, training and research of bacterial pathogenesis. The assistant research professor will be experienced in genital track disease and continue to develop research of this focus, obtaining grant funding, publishing findings in peer reviewed journals and presenting findings at professional medical conferences. The assistant research professor will be responsible for mentoring graduate and undergraduate students in laboratory techniques. The service component of this position will include community outreach to identify and persuade segments of the population who could benefit from inoculation and other medical treatments.
