School Research Grants Assistant (Part Time)
Applications are invited for the post of School Research Grant Assistant, primarily based at 17 Mill Lane, Cambridge, within the School of the Humanities and Social Sciences, with some time each week based in the Department of Social Anthropology on Free School Lane, Cambridge.
The School Research Grant Assistant provides expert support and guidance to Principal Investigators (PIs) and Department based research staff, with an outcome of timely, accurate and risk-mitigated research grant applications. This role will be dedicated to supporting research grant administration for the Department of Social Anthropology. The role holder works in collaboration with PIs and project support staff to enable effective and efficient grant management of active research grants across the School.
Delivering a high-quality service across the School, the ideal candidate will have:
An understanding of research grants, funder conditions, and both pre and post award knowledge of University processes and procedures.
Experience and/or knowledge of grant administration.
An ability to respond to demands proactively, keep high level of accuracy, and manage their workload independently.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely in writing, in person and on the telephone with staff at all levels across the University.
