The School of Media Arts & Studies will be hiring an adjunct position for the 2022 spring semester.

The position is for instruction of our advanced studio music production course, which is required for all undergraduate Music Production majors in the School of Media Arts & Studies.

The advanced studio production and music technology course provides instruction in specific popular music multitrack recording techniques (drums, guitars, keyboards, and additional acoustic instrumentation), MIDI and sampling, DAW workflows, working with outboard processing gear, and the technical and production considerations in managing studio sessions.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates to be considered to teach this course for the School of Media Arts & Studies must have at least a bachelor's degree in music and/or audio production or a related degree in the field of music technology.

At least three (3) years of experience/work in commercial production with a professional studio is a must. Software fluency in Avid's ProTools is required, along with mastery of signal flow, console operations, and experience in operating studio sessions.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience as an independent instructor (full instructional responsibility) of a relevant course is encouraged. Additional software experience with Apple's Logic Pro X and Ableton Live is preferred.
