Job description

Education and Academic Services – Sport

This new full-time post is available from January 2024 on a permanent basis.

The University of Exeter are a leading Sports University, with Rugby being a High Performance focus sport. The rugby programme at Exeter is known for its strength and depth across both our men's and women's programmes and is something we are very proud of. With a new Head of Men's Rugby having started in August 2023 and the expansion of the women's game this is an exciting period to join the team in Exeter to develop the future for the programme.

Summary of the role

We are looking for an assistant rugby coach to support our Heads of Rugby due to the expansion in our programme over recent years. This role will need a flexible approach and will include the need to support both our student representative squads on weekdays and weekends. The role will predominately work across the men's programmes but should be willing to support the women's programme, if required.

This varied role will provide an exciting opportunity for the right individual to work as part of a dynamic high performance environment across our team of support services to ensure our players are prepared for training and competition.

The successful candidate should hold a minimum level 2 Rugby coaching qualification and have experience of planning and delivering coaching across a range of abilities and squads.

We are particularly interested to hear from candidates who have worked in other environments and keen to develop in Exeter.

If you feel you have the enthusiasm and adaptable approach to work within Exeter Sport please apply online, via the University website.

Please ensure you read the Job Description and Person Specification for full details of this role.
