Job Description : To provide and manage patient care in a clinical area for specific age and patient populations. To deliver care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation and evaluation; effectively interacts with patient, significant others and other health team members while maintaining standards of professional nursing. Under the general direction of assigned RN preceptor, to implement RN specific duties in various clinics while adhering to all applicable state, federal and local laws pertaining to an ambulatory care center and monitor standards to meet all applicable accreditation guidelines. To consistently demonstrate outstanding customer service to patients, visitors, physicians and staff through AIDET techniques, core values and a positive attitude.


Associate's degree in Nursing required. Work experience may not substitute for education requirements. Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required. Currently certified with cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) required or must be obtained within 30 days of employment. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required or must be obtained within 6 months of employment. Currently certified with Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required or must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
