The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine has an opening for full-time tenure or non-tenure clinical track faculty in the Vitreoretinal Service. Individuals are expected to have a strong commitment to clinical care, teaching, and research in an academic setting.
Education Requirement:
MD degree.
Required Qualifications:
Applicants must have graduated from a fully-accredited ophthalmology residency.
Applicants must have subspecialty training in retina.
Certifications:
Must be eligible for medical licensure in the state of Iowa.
Candidate must be certified or eligible for certification by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
Desirable Qualifications:
Previous experience in an academic medical center.
Previous experience training resident and fellow's.
Publication record commensurate with professional level.
Experience in clinical or basic science research is highly desirable.
