Working in our Welcome Fresh Store (A franchise of Southern Co-op) our Retail Supervisors lead the store team to ensure the store is clean and tidy with full shelves. They plan out our teams workloads, ensuring our customers have a consistently high experience and that all our legal routines and processes are completed.

We are currently recruiting for several part-time/term time Retail Supervisors. We ask that applicants state their preferred working hours and days on your application form. We particularly welcome applications from those with availability to work hours during the evenings and weekends.

About the role:

Whether you're preparing the store for opening – receiving our deliveries first thing in the morning or organising your teams workload for a busy evening. Every shift is different and brings its own challenges and rewards – you will contribute to a positive environment where everyone pulls together as a team to deliver.

We will work with you to build a rota that works around family commitments, hobbies or self-development and study commitments. You can be sure that we will work with you to find a suitable shift pattern so you can get the most out of your days off and achieve a healthy work / life balance.

If you are self-motivated, enjoy a busy environment and are confident in leading a diverse team then find out more about our role below and apply for a career with us at the University of Bath.

What you'll do:

• Prioritise and plan out the teams workloads – ensuring the shop floor is full and well presented by having the right stock worked at the right times

• Receive and book in deliveries as they arrive, checking temperatures and quality of products

• Complete legal due diligence checks, and store routines

• Stock counting, and ordering products – so we don't run out of our customers favourites

• Ensure shelves are merchandised well, checking use-by and sell-by dates and ensuring quality and freshness for our customers

• Ensuring our food safety standards are adhered to (full training will be given)

• Raise any works requests to our estates teams

• Working as part of the store management team to complete any actions arising from audits or visits

• Maintain tidy, well organised back of house areas so that our colleagues can get what they need easily
