The opportunity is for May 22 – June 30, 2023.

Live in the ETSU residence hall with 200 Upward Bound high school students during the summer residential program. Oversee day-to-day operations in residence halls. Be a positive role model and encourage college access and success. Attend and chaperone all cultural/educational activities. Perform other duties assigned by the project staff.

Display leadership skills while developing and maintaining a positive community in resident halls.

Organize and supervise recreation activities.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required Qualifications

Must have completed at least 36 credit hours of college work and maintained a 2.8 cumulative GPA through the fall semester of 2022.

Must have been enrolled in college in the last year and completed two calendar years of college as of June 2023.

Successful candidates must complete a background check and be fingerprinted prior to employment.

Must pass a criminal background check, fingerprint, and student misconduct check. (Student misconduct checks will be performed automatically for ETSU students. Students who attend other colleges must fill out a misconduct check form.)

Room and meal expenses are provided.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience as a tutor, camp counselor, or similar position.

Experience in residence hall living.

Salary 18.00/hr
