Position Details Percent of Time/Week: 100%Service Schedule: P&S Calendar Year Position Description:
Oversees the day-to-day operations of two-three residential facilities and creating a comprehensive residential experience in their buildings; recruits, selects, trains, supervises, and evaluates residence hall staff (undergraduate and/or graduate) and oversees their daily responsibilities and development; coordinates the residence hall conduct process for their buildings; chairs and serves on various departmental and university committees; be visible within their communities and engage in personal interactions with students; provides leadership, mentorship, and support to students; serves in a rotating on-call capacity for the residence hall system; communicates pertinent information to other departments on campus; and manages administrative items within the hall including the residence hall budget.
This is a twelve-month, live-in position.
Education Requirements:
Master's degree required.
Required Qualifications:
At least one academic year of university residence hall leadership experience at a post-undergraduate or graduate student level required. Strong written and oral communication, administrative and organizational skills also required. Student experience will be considered. Frequent evening and weekend work will be necessary.
Desirable Qualifications:
Master's degree in student affairs, counseling or related field preferred.
