Job Description

Key Duties:

  • Implementation of experiments in research projects, especially in the GACR project (From prenatal age to healthy childhood: uncover the links between chemical exposure and immune diseases in children.)
  • Carrying out research activities in the field of studying the effect of chemicals on human immunity using molecular biological approaches; application of methods for omics experiments
  • Performing targeted and untargeted analyses in samples (e.g. transcriptomics, sequencing, flow cytometry)
  • Sample preparation and processing, results processing, data analysis and interpretation
  • Presentation of results, preparation of publications and reports, preparation of research projects
  • Training and mentoring of students
  • Skills and Qualifications

  • University degree (Ph.D.) in molecular biology, biochemistry, toxicology, pharmacy, or related fields.
  • Experience of working in a molecular biology laboratory and the methods used there
  • Experience of analyzing data from whole genome transcriptomics or flow cytometry
  • Experience working with biological data analysis (e.g., in R or other statistical software) and interpreting results in a biological context
  • Diligence and conscientiousness, ability to plan and organize own time
  • English level min. B1 for daily communication with colleagues and working with scientific articles
  • Willingness to learn on the job and actively use new knowledge
