Key Duties & Responsibilities
Oversees projects within the laboratory, coordinates studies, and assumes significant responsibility for the overall operation of the lab.
Conduct preclinical cellular and molecular neuroscience and cancer research.
Conducts experiments using both in vitro and in vivo model systems.
Monitors results, detects and reports unusual outcomes, develops and implements modifications and provides reports or other consultation to management.
Contributes to the design, interpretation and writing of grant proposals and scientific publications with the PI.
Supervises and oversees maintenance of lab equipment and orders and supervises lab supplies.
Uses advanced knowledge of lab practices to direct and teach others by developing guidelines and conducting face-to-face/virtual training.
Interacts with other scientists and resources providers.
Analyzes derived patient samples.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Salary $ 49,004.80- $ 95,500.00 annually
Doctorate in a related field and one (1) year of related experience
OR Master's degree in a related field and three (3) years of related
OR Bachelor's degree in related field and five (5) years of related
Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
3-5 years of research experience in this or a related field and experience
with biomedical research using rodents.

Be expected to contribute intellectually to this research, derive and present data, and contribute to scientific publications of high impact.
Integrate with all members of an outstanding neuroscience and cancer research lab and contribute to its successful operation.
Be given the opportunity to work on an independent project that may be developed into a first author publication
Work with a strong team of basic researchers and physicians study mechanisms that control cellular function and disease progression in cells as well as in vivo models.
