Job Description:

Description of Duties:

The Center for Human Services Research, University at Albany is seeking a full-time Researcher to assist with evaluations of human service initiatives. Projects include the areas of child maltreatment prevention, health care reform, criminal justice, and early childhood care and education. Responsibilities include conducting literature reviews, convening focus groups, conducting interviews, administering surveys, assisting in data analysis, and assisting in the preparation of reports and presentations. Position is contingent upon funding.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by USDOE or an internationally recognized accrediting organization, in social sciences or related field.
  • Three years research experience including collecting and/or analyzing data.
  • Experience collecting data through interviews, focus groups, or surveys.
  • Experience analyzing qualitative and/or quantitative data.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a culturally diverse population.
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree from a college or university accredited by USDOE or an internationally recognized accrediting organization, in social sciences or related field.
  • Experience using statistical analysis software including SPSS, SAS, R, STATA, etc.

    Salary Range : Depending on Experience
