Can you provide technical support to research projects and do you have extensive experience in using various bioinformatic tools to analyse large genomic data sets?
This post is funded from a grant awarded to Associate Professor Dr Sinisa Savic. The aim of the fellowship is to investigate the role of post-zygotic, somatic mutations in the pathogenesis of various immune mediated inflammatory diseases and their influence on response to treatment.
You will be working closely with a growing team of research Fellows, research Technicians and PhD students to deliver the objectives of this project. You will be expected to provide bioinformatics and analytical support for the research group, assisting with the analysis of large omics datasets generated from high throughout NGS.
This post is primarily office-based but may also involve assisting laboratory wet-lab work where required. Experience of shell scripting and HPC navigation is essential. Experience using different programming languages i.e., R, Python, SQL is highly desirable.
