The Eguchi laboratory at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University is seeking a full-time Research Technician. The Eguchi Laboratory is interested in cellular dysfunction in the content of hypertension. Utilizing pharmacological and genetic tools, the technician will examine new pathways contribution to vascular smooth muscle cell dysfunction in hypertension and cardiovascular disease.

Responsibilities include: perform in vitro cell culture, including primary explant culture, biochemical assays (Western blotting, immunofluorescence staining, PCR, ELISA, functional testing of vascular cells is a plus). In vivo mouse experiments include breeding, genotyping, osmotic minipump implantation, functional assessment such as ECHO and blood pressure, necropsy, and immunohistochemistry. Data presentation through individual and group meetings. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience: At least three years of research experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
