Essential Job Duties
Primary duties of the Research Technician consist of, but are not limited to
Contributing and assisting with clinical research in the field of soft
tissue and oncologic surgery.
Having an understanding of the rationale for the research and performing
related research and clinical skills to allow the research hypotheses to
be tested in a scientifically rigorous manner.
Dealing with collection and analysis of data, tissue collection and
processing, anesthesia and surgical procedures in multiple animal species.
Constructing and monitoring compliance with IACUCs and assistance with
clinical trial recruitment, screening, data entry and patient care.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.
Other Required Qualifications
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with a great work
Strong analytical skills and computer skills.
Knowledge of basic animal holding skills.
Accurate record keeping and data management skills.
Experience with anesthesia and surgical assistance
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Experience in a veterinary clinic
Customer service background
Knowledge of anatomy and ability to dissect animals
Ability to demonstrate initiative, be proactive and take responsibility
Required License or Certification
Valid NC Driver's License required No
Commercial Driver's License Required? No
