Requires technical knowledge in the field acquired through an apprenticeship,
a 2-year degree, or professional certificate. Please contact your Human

The position will produce and analyze turfgrass biotechnology, as part of an
overall project on turf development. This will include gathering tissues and
establishing tissue cultures, establishment, care, preparation and analysis of
the plants; collecting data, keeping and submitting records of materials
processed, preparing monthly progress reports; supervision and training of
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
Sterile technique and molecular analysis (including DNA isolation, PCR,
library preps); plant tissue and cell culture. Plant husbandry.
Plant and care for turfgrass plants in the greenhouse, including lifting pots
and moving pots and soil. Occasional field work.

Turfgrass transformation and tissue culture, including vector preparation,
aseptic technique, media preparation. Molecular analysis (DNA extraction,
PCR, hybridization) of transgenic soybean.
