OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY The Laboratory for HIV & COVID-19 Vaccine Research & Development's research focuses on neutralizing antibody responses, a key component of many successful vaccines for various infectious diseases. We're seeking qualified applicants to be part of this internationally recognized laboratory for providing standardized assessments of neutralizing antibody responses in preclinical and clinical HIV and COVID-19 vaccine studies.

Laboratory for Dr. David Montefiori and Dr. Shaunna Shen

Work Performed Duties:

Perform neutralization assays in various cell lines for SARS-CoV-2 and HIV Studies

Coordinate data reporting for statistical analysis for various studies/projects

Confer with PI in developing future assay plans

Interpret, analyze, and report data

Maintain GCLP records and procedures

Maintenance of cell lines

Determine and set up instruments, material and operate laboratory equipment

Train and instruct lower-level employees and/or visiting scientists

Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Minimum Qualifications Education Work requires a bachelor's degree in botany, biology, zoology, psychology or other directly related scientific field.

Experience Work requires four years of research experience. A related master's degree may offset required years of experience on a 1:1 basis, e.g., a two year master's degree in lieu of two years of experience OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
