Position Summary
The Kosman lab is seeking a highly motivated individual with a background in molecular biology and biochemistry techniques and a strong willingness to learn new approaches in the validation of the cell biology of novel therapeutics directed towards the molecular bases of ataxias. Members of the Kosman lab work closely together to reveal the cell mechanisms that result in therapeutic efficacy of iron chelating, anti-oxidant molecules that are in clinical trial in the treatment of several neurodegenerative diseases that present with an ataxic phenotype.

We're looking for someone who ideally comes with bench-top lab experience and previous involvement with the use of mammalian cell models of human disease.
The successful applicant is expected to support ongoing research studies on the bench, assist with lab maintenance duties, and take responsibility for basic research in a strongly collaborative environment. We are willing to train the right detail-oriented applicant who is dedicated to helping achieve our research goals.
