The KHPR Department has over 1,500 majors and is focused on being recognized for teaching, research, creativity, professional activities, and service as they relate to mental and physical health and overall quality of life in a diverse society. The Department intends to accomplish this mission through the academic preparation of professionals, contributions to the professional body of knowledge, and provision of services to the university and community at large.

Position Summary

This individual will train and advise undergraduate research fellows and graduate students for upcoming research activities regarding pediatric movements and behaviors. Other duties include IRB submission, data analysis, research activities, and publishing papers.

Minimum Qualifications

Ph.D or Ed.D in sport pedagogy, motor behavior, leisure science, child and family studies, or a related field; strong knowledge of research methods and quantitative data analysis; experience with managing laboratory and training research fellows; strong collaboration and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Working experience with underserved children and emerging adults; strong experience using virtual reality and wearable technologies.

Required License / Registration / Certification Work Schedule

15 hours per week; M-F, between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm
