  • Workplan: This project is aimed at the development of a mobile application and a cloud database with the respective consultation and visualization platform for recording clinically relevant data in the diagnosis and follow-up of patients with psychiatric pathologies. The work plan consists of the following phases/task: 1) Review of the state of the art, 2) implementation of an experimental prototype consisting of the mobile application and the cloud database with which the mobile application communicates to store the acquired data, 3) Preparation of a complete report on the work carried out. (Present a resume of the activities to carry out, the objectives to achieve, and their relevance for the conclusion of the studies at which the studentship holder is enrolled)

    Duration: The research fellowship will have the duration of 6 months. It's expected to begin in October 2021, and may be eventually renewed up to the maximum of 12 months.

    Benefits

    Monthly maintenance allowance: According to the values for Research Fellowships awarded by FCT in Portugal (https:// www. fct.pt/apoios/bolsas/valores), the amount of the monthly maintenance allowance is €1104,64, being the payment method an option of the Fellow by Wire Transfer/Check.

    Eligibility criteria

    Admission Requirements:

    a) to hold a bachelor or master degree and be enrolled at a course that does not award an academic degree and it is integrated in the educational project of a higher education institution, performed in association or cooperation with one or several R&D units;

    b) not to exceed with this contract, including the possible renovations, an accumulated period of two years in this type of studentship, continuously or with interruptions.

    c) Given the nature of the project, which is aimed at developing an electronic diary in psychiatry, the candidate must have knowledge about the design of systems for the acquisition, recording, analysis and processing of physiological and behavioral signals. Preferred factors: previous experience in mobile application development and acquisition of biomedical data, programming skills, especially in Python and Java, experience in physiological and behavioral signs, namely actigraphy, and good writing skills in English.

    Selection methods: The selection methods to be used will be the following: curriculum assessment (25%); training and experience in the aforementioned topics (25%); training and experience in similar activities (25%); interview (25%).
