The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking two Research
Specialists to join their exceptional team!
The University of Wisconsin-Madison Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology
Tissue Bank, led by Professor Manish Patankar, PhD, of our Reproductive
Sciences Division, is currently collecting obstetric tissue and fluid that
would otherwise be discarded after delivery at Meriter Hospital. Tissue
samples will be used in research studies to learn more about conditions that
affect women and babies during pregnancy.

The job will require following established protocols, handling of human
tissues and fluids, and working on a 24-hour/365 day call schedule. While on-
call, the Research Specialists will be required to collect specimens within a

$35,568 annually be considered non-exempt under FLSA provisions for overtime

person selected for this recruitment will earn less than the new salary
threshold at January 1, 2020 ($35,568 annually), he/she will be an academic
staff non-exempt employee, will be paid hourly, and will receive overtime
compensation for any hours worked over 40 in a workweek.
